Crowning moments at Blenheim Palace Flower Show

Great British summers evoke memories of freshly mown lawns, kart wheels and lazy days in the sun. Not the most obvious season for considering knitwear, you might be thinking. But you would be wrong. Becoming ever more important than our freshly laundered linens are our treasured knitted cardigans, jackets and boleros. They keep out the chill that is an inevitable part of the Great British summer.

And so it was this weekend at the Blenheim Palace Flower Show when we exhibited in the indoor shopping village alongside beautifully crafted jewellery, fashion, skin care and garden accessories. When the sun shone, the hoards entered and when the skies clouded over and the wind whistled through the marquees, happy shoppers cooed over our Yak collection.

We had a fabulous time from start to finish!

Setting up on Thursday afternoon (under the direction of Teddy - 3yrs and with the great help of Heidi -1 yr) was so much fun and we very much enjoyed our first day of sales on Friday. Everyone gave us such wonderful feedback about the softness and beautiful sheen of the clothes and the charming nostalgic look of our designs.

Saturday brought many Americans to our stand - it was of course a pleasure to meet you all and enjoy your fabulous encouragement and great sales.

Sunday was the busiest day for the show and for us! We met some wonderful young couples keen for that something special for christenings and weddings. We also had a lot of interest in our bespoke service.

It is wonderful to see that knitwear is making such a comeback and lovely to hear that so many of you are knitters or learning to knit. We’ve met some lovely little ones this weekend and we've seen photos of some gorgeous babies. Do send us any pictures you take of your little ones in our beautiful Crowns & Coronets  clothes and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
